We purchased rural land in We have previously had a larger home completed by a design and build contractor so were familiar with the process. Our introduction to Bo Welch was a rewarding experience. He listened to our design objectives and upsized an attractive “chalet” plan to accommodate a minimum house size covenant. More important, Bo made multiple suggestions and offered interior features that did not occur to us. We took his ideas in mind and were very happy with the “custom” design of the final construction drawings. Our negotiated building contract with LVC was shaped by a give-and-take set of terms for mutual goals and protections for the builder and the owners. We signed the contract in August 2009 and the home was completed in early December 2009. Bo helped us orient the home for a marvelous view of the mountains and worked tirelessly to clear the land for the best overlook. We visited the jobsite on a weekly basis and he was always available to discuss his schedule and to make some adjustments based on mid-construction reviews. Our experience with Bo Welch was always easy and always responsive on his part. We had many exchanges by e-mail that made a written record of options and choices during the building process to eliminate any misunderstandings. He listened to our color, style and feature selections for the various cost allowances in the contract and kept our costs within the budget boundaries.

SOLD February 2008 A Letter From Our Client... To Whom It May Concern: We would like to provide a recommendation as to the quality of construction, the integrity of the employees, and the attention to detail that was recently given in the construction of our home. From the time of our first meeting with Bo we were impressed with his professionalism; and although his was not the lowest bid for the construction of our home, his was the most professionally done. Once we signed a contract, Bo kept in touch with us on every detail, making sure that we knew where he was in the process and inviting questions on our part. When the actual construction began, he was on site to make sure that the subcontractors were doing their jobs to his specifications and if not, to redo the work. Each subcontractor who was used exhibited professionalism in their dealings with Bo and with us. At no time did they make us feel unwelcome on the site. Bo also provided us with an update each step of the way. At the point where he and his employees took over the remaining work, there was never a day that we did not feel welcome at the site and were encouraged to ask questions and to offer input as to how everything was going. When changes had to be made, Bo always talked with us first, explaining the reasons. When we asked to make some changes, the request was handled with graciousness and willingness. When we made suggestions, if they were not feasible, Bo would explain in detail why and give alternatives. If we made suggestions that enhanced the construction, Bo was more than happy to follow through. At no time, when we asked something of his employees, were we treated unkindly or rudely. In fact, many times they went out of their way to see that the request was carried out. We sincerely recommend David “Bo” Welch and his employees (brothers Jimmy and Kenny) for their integrity, timeliness in getting the job done, and their willingness to “make the customer happy.” If you have any questions or would like to see our home, do not hesitate to call us at (540) 635-5871. Comments from the owner, Brian Grupac:
"I can say nothing but great things about our experience with Bo. We’ve been trying to do this for two years, encountering set back after set back. He went above and beyond our expectations in building our home. There were things he did to help us that you wouldn’t expect a builder to do. It was great to have an agent like Vicky to guide us through each step. With outstanding customer service, the two of them working together made it a seamless process. We are very thankful to Bo and Vicky. They’ll be in business for a long time helping people like us. I will definitely call upon them again for our next home!”

Testimonials:
Brooke/Robert Corkhill – Summer 2007
"We have an investment property in Front Royal, which had problems with a leaking door for years. We hired several handyman services who replaced and adjusted the door, added caulk and weather stripping, replaced the floors, and tried several other things to fix the problem. It cost us hundreds of dollars, probably more. But, the problem continued. Finally, our property manager suggested we call LVC. They came to the house and quickly diagnosed the problem – the deck was not set properly, therefore, the water continued to come in through the door to the kitchen floor. The problem was not the door at all! They relocated our deck – moving it down several inches – and added proper flashing, which corrected the problem. This sounds like a very big and expensive job, but LVC completed it in about a day, and we were shocked at how affordable it was. Our tenants were very complimentary of the service and demeanor of the crew that completed the work. That was several months ago, and the problem has not come back. We are very thankful to have a final resolution; and would call them FIRST if we ever had another issue."
